Registration for INAIO 2026 Stage 2 is now closed.
The registration deadline was 31 March, 2026.
Registration fees: Rs. 500/- + GST per student (Only for students who are eligible for direct entry into Stage 2). No registration fees for students qualified through stage 1.
INAIO is open to all Indian citizens studying in India in Grades 9 to 12, from any school board, provided they were born after August 5, 2006.
If you have completed Class 12, you are no longer eligible (even if you are on a break and not enrolled in college, or if you are planning to redo your Class 12 exams for improvement).
Toppers from previous Olympiads of any grade are directly eligible for Stage 2 if they meet the following criteria:

Participants of the PLO 2025 Training Camp
Students qualified to take INMO 2024–2025 or INMO 2025–2026 based on their RMO performance
Bebras India Computing Challenge highest score achievers (Mahavira and Ramanujam categories only)
Be recognized as top AI talent in India

Date and Timing:
Jan 18th 2026, Sunday
10:00 AM 10:20 AM - 10:30 AM IST [Onboarding and Verification]
10:30 AM - 12 PM IST [Actual Test Time]
Mode: Online with live human and automated AI proctoring. Proctors may ask to see your rough-work paper or request a room scan if anything appears suspicious. Detailed instructions on the test platform will be sent to registered students after the registrations are closed.
Allowed Aids:
No AI assistants or external online tools/apps (e.g., Desmos or external calculators).
Only the test application should be open on the screen.
A basic calculator app may be provided depending on problem complexity.
Blank white paper is permitted.
No cheat sheets or any other external material.
Duration: 90 minutes
Total Marks: 70 marks (no bonus marks)
Question Types:
MCQs: One correct option out of K choices.
Numerical Answer Type: Integer answers from 0 to 100.
No negative marking
Section A — 30 Marks
Topics: Mathematical foundations, logical reasoning, algorithmic and computational thinking.
10 questions × 3 marks each [Updated]
Section B — 40 Marks
Introductory Machine Learning (required ML background will be provided within the questions).
4 questions, each worth 10 marks with multiple sub-parts, each of which will be an objective question.
Selection Criteria for Stage 2
Students will be shortlisted using both overall score cut-offs and section-wise cut-offs, with separate cut-off criteria applied for Classes 9–10 and Classes 11–12.
