Study Materials: List of courses and educational resources
Note:
As INAIO is still in its early editions, the test format across stages is evolving and may not match that of previous years.
The stage-wise syllabus is structured for progressive preparation toward IOAI. However, students may encounter problems with advanced concepts beyond the syllabus that can be solved using information provided in the problem statements, supported by AI assistants and whitelisted documentation. This is meant to assess adaptability and effective use of AI tools.
Exact details on the test format, including sections, duration, platform, and sample tests, will be shared two weeks before the Stage 1-3 tests both on website and over email with the registered students. For Stage 4, the format will be based on the latest information available from IOAI 2026.
Students who wish to practice ML coding tasks may use the IOAI 2025 setup, which allowed ChatGPT 4o-mini with a 4K token limit, no internet access, and documentation for approved Python packages. However, it is possible that Stages 2–5 of INAIO 2026 and IOAI 2026 may use a different configuration.
Stage 1 [Online proctored test with objective questions only. No AI assistants allowed.]
Stage 2 [Online proctored test with a mix of objective questions, long-form problems, and hands-on modeling. AI assistants allowed in select sections.]
